Huawei P30 'series' announcement scheduled for March 26
« on: February 20, 2019, 06:57:05 AM »

For the longest time, we assumed Huawei's next-gen flagship phones would be unveiled at the 2019 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this month. Even Samsung reportedly took that possibility into consideration when scheduling its latest Unpacked event several days before the start of the MWC trade show to make sure the Galaxy S10 family will beat the Huawei P30 series to the limelight.

But just like last year, the world's second-largest smartphone vendor has different plans from the rest of the industry, looking to do its own thing on March 26 in Paris. The date, vaguely teased by the company's Polish branch a couple of weeks ago, is now firmly set in stone, along with a glamorous venue where the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro saw daylight in March 2018.

Huawei's official event confirmation on Twitter is accompanied by a seemingly generic 10-second teaser video taking us on a tour of some of the most popular tourist attractions in the capital of France. But on second glance, you'll probably realize those beautiful images of the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre-Dame Cathedral are meant to highlight the advanced zooming capabilities of the upcoming Huawei P30 "series."
