Motorola Moto Z4 leak shows price
« on: May 06, 2019, 06:07:30 AM »

The Moto Z Play lineup has sold relatively well since it was first introduced almost three years ago. As a result of this, Motorola is once again planning a new model, but from the look of things it’ll be ditching the ‘Play’ branding.

Corroborating previous rumors, a new leak (via GSMArena) suggests the Motorola Moto Z4 will increase both its storage and RAM counts. Specifically, the 4/32GB and 4/64GB configurations offered by last year’s Moto Z3 Play will apparently be ditched in favor of just one 6/128GB option.

Alongside this, the smartphone is expected to arrive powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675. This should provide a pretty decent upgrade over the Snapdragon 636 found inside the Moto Z3 Play, but don’t expect to see the same flagship-level performance that’ll be offered by the Moto Z4 Force. One thing the Moto Z4 does have in common with its Force sibling, though, is the display.

According to the leaked information, the Moto Z4 will feature a large 6.4-inch OLED display that boasts very thin bezels and a tiny notch. The latter should be home to a 24.8-megapixel selfie snapper that’ll be accompanied by a 48-megapixel camera on the rear.

Like previous Moto Z smartphones, this upcoming model should support Moto Mods. The device will also ship with Android 9 Pie straight out of the box and a large 3,632mAh battery which represents a 632mAh increase over the cells found inside the Moto Z3 Play and Moto Z2 Play. Last, but certainly not least, an IP67 water and dust resistance rating is to be expected alongside a headphone jack.

The Motorola Moto Z4 is expected to arrive during the summer months and will most likely be sold through Verizon or unlocked via Motorola’s website and other retailers. Regarding its price, today’s leak suggests it’ll retail at $399 in the US, $100 cheaper than last year’s Moto Z3 Play.
