Nokia 6.2 to arrive this month
« on: January 11, 2019, 12:09:11 AM »

The original Nokia 6 arrived in January 2017 and was succeeded just over a year later by the current-gen Nokia 6.1. And now, according to one tipster, a new version could be just around the corner.

Expected to launch as the Nokia 6.2, the upcoming smartphone’s external characteristics are said to include a large 6.2-inch display that boasts hole-in-display technology. Presumably, this panel will be similar to the one found on the upcoming Nokia 8.1 Plus, albeit with slightly thicker bezels.

In addition to the display, the smartphone reportedly features a dual 16-megapixel camera setup on the rear which will be combined with OZO Audio support. Essentially, this means that multiple microphones will be combined with acoustic algorithms to enable audio capture with immersive 360º spatial surround sound.

Moving on to the internal, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 is to be expected alongside either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Storage configurations remain unconfirmed at the moment but a 64GB model is extremely likely. Similarly, stock Android 9 Pie straight out of the box as part of the Android One program is to be expected.

According to the source, the Nokia 6.2 will make its debut in late January or early February. Initially, sales will be limited to China but availability should expand to Europe and the US soon after.

As per usual, it’s worth taking this leak with a pinch of salt. It is worth noting, however, that HMD Global itself recently signaled the incoming release of a new model by lowering the price of the Nokia 6.1 to €159 in certain European markets.
