Motorola's budget Moto E6 quietly launches on Verizon
« on: July 26, 2019, 08:17:30 AM »
Motorola has recently been experiencing strong growth in the US smartphone market thank to its Moto G and Moto E devices. Today, in a bid to keep up momentum, the Chicago-based brand has quietly launched the next-gen Moto E6 on Verizon.

Retailing at $149.99 or $6.24/month on a 24-month contract, the Moto E6 features a small 5.45-inch Max Vision-branded display which boasts an 18:9 aspect ratio and an HD+ (1440 x 720p) resolution. As you’d expect, the LCD panel arrives paired with relatively average side bezels and pretty thick upper and lower alternatives.

In regards to the smartphone’s internals, Motorola has fitted the smartphone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435. The latter represents a decent upgrade over the Snapdragon 425 used inside last year’s Moto E5 series and is also slightly better than the Moto G6 Play’s Snapdragon 430. Accompanying the upgraded chip is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD cards of up to 256GB.

According to Verizon, the Moto E6 produces “brag-worthy” photos thanks to its LED flash and accompanying 13-megapixel rear camera which supports a variety of features including Portrait Mode. The claim is probably a bit exaggerated but the camera should still produce decent shots for the associated price tag. On a related note, the budget phone also includes a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for the selfie fanatics out there.
